All the electronic stuff I've been listening to lately has taken a back seat today as the Cold War Kids drop their new album, "Mine Is Yours". It's remained in heavy rotation throughout the day.

The beginning of this song is so inviting it forces you to listen to it in it's entirety... and it certainly holds it's own. Deadmau5 is ridiculous to see live, I highly recommend his shows to anyone interested in the genre.

The walls have been rumblin' at LHD lately with all the dubstep I've been introduced to.

What is dubstep?

According to Wikipedia: Dubstep is a genre of electronic dance music. Its overall sound has been described as "tightly coiled productions with overwhelming bass lines and reverberant drum patterns, clipped samples, and occasional vocals." You can read more here.

Long before the unfortunate autotune era we live in now, hip-hop was once a real thing... that's where these guy's came in.

Sigur Rós relaxes the mind, body and soul. This song from beginning to end will help push an idea or struggle. Six minutes, thirty three seconds of sublime.

This really doesn't need much explanation. Give their greatest hits a listen from beginning to end and your to-do list will be knocked clean.

Grand National hasn't released an album in years but their sound remains fresh and mellow. This song is from the 2004 album Kicking the National Habit, which is my favorite of the four. Other notable songs from the album include Talk Amoungst Yourselves and Strange Magnificent Noise.
